Life Coach Rotterdam for Creative and Embodied Change
Life coaching in Rotterdam with Amber Grothe is for people who want to move through change without disconnecting from themselves. You may be facing a transition, feeling overwhelmed, questioning your direction or trying to make space for a creative life. In a one-to-one session, we slow the situation down, listen to what is happening beneath the surface and turn that insight into a next step you can actually use.
Sessions are available in Amber’s studio in Rotterdam and online. The work is personal, reflective and body-aware: conversation is part of it, but it is not the only way in.
When thinking harder is no longer helping
Many people arrive with a question they have already analysed from every angle. They understand the problem, but still feel stuck. Amber’s approach makes room for more than explanation. Attention, movement, drawing, imagination and simple embodied exercises can reveal information that is easy to miss when everything stays in the head.
You do not need to be an artist or have experience with body-based work. The process starts with your own pace, language and boundaries. Amber brings structure where it helps and leaves space where something new needs to emerge.
What we can work on
- finding direction during a personal or professional transition
- making a decision that feels both honest and realistic
- recognising patterns around confidence, boundaries or overwhelm
- reconnecting with creativity after pressure, perfectionism or self-doubt
- bringing an idea, project or life change into practical movement
- creating more room for intuition without losing clarity
How a coaching session works
We begin with the question that is most alive for you now. Together we clarify what is happening, what you have already tried and what you would like to be different. From there, Amber chooses a way of working that fits the moment. That can include focused conversation, mapping a pattern, a visual or writing exercise, attention to physical sensation, or a small movement experiment.
The session closes by translating the experience into something concrete: a decision, a boundary, an experiment, a conversation to have or a practice to continue. The aim is not to give you a ready-made answer. It is to help you hear your own answer more clearly and act on it with greater steadiness.
An artist’s perspective on coaching
Amber is a Rotterdam-based artist, social designer and facilitator. She completed a Bachelor in Fine Arts at AKV St. Joost and a Master’s in Holistic Science at Schumacher College. Her work brings together artistic practice, alternative education, embodiment and the design of creative learning processes. She has developed and facilitated workshops in different cultural and educational settings, including an ongoing collaboration with TU Delft.
This background shapes the sessions. Amber notices images, language, energy and patterns, while keeping the conversation connected to daily life. Coaching is not treated as a performance or a fixed programme, but as a carefully held creative process in which insight can become action.

Who this approach fits
This coaching is especially suited to people who are sensitive, creative, curious or in a period of change. You may be an artist, facilitator, founder or professional, but you do not need a creative job. What matters is that you want to engage honestly with your question and are open to a process that includes both reflection and embodied awareness.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need to be creative?
No. Creativity is used as a way of noticing and exploring, not as a skill you need to perform. Exercises are adapted to what feels accessible to you.
Can I book one session?
Yes. A single session can be useful for a specific decision or question. If you want support over a longer transition, you and Amber can discuss a series after the first conversation.
What happens when I get in touch?
Share a little about what brings you to coaching and whether you prefer Rotterdam or online. Amber will respond with current options so you can decide whether the approach feels right before making a commitment.
Start with a conversation
You do not need to arrive with a perfectly formulated goal. A few honest sentences about what is happening are enough. Contact Amber to ask a question or arrange a discovery call.
