Coaching in Rotterdam for Meaningful Change
Coaching with Amber Grothe is a place to slow down a complicated situation, listen beyond the first explanation and find a next step that belongs to you. Sessions combine reflective conversation with creative and embodied ways of working. You can meet Amber in Rotterdam or work together online.
People come with personal transitions, leadership questions, creative blocks and decisions about an artistic practice. These themes can overlap, but each needs a different kind of attention. The pages below help you choose the most useful starting point.
Choose the coaching that fits your question
Life coaching in Rotterdam
For personal change, uncertainty, emotional patterns, boundaries, confidence and a desire to live or work with more clarity. This is the main place to start when your question concerns your life as a whole or several areas are connected.
Leadership coaching
For founders, facilitators, team leads and values-led professionals navigating responsibility, conflict, collaboration or change. The focus is on seeing the wider system and translating insight into a practical leadership experiment.
Creative coaching
For ideas that keep circling, projects that have lost momentum, perfectionism and the challenge of making space for creative work. Together you clarify the question and design a small next step that can generate new information.
Art coaching
For artists who want a critical companion for a body of work, portfolio, artist statement, exhibition, residency or funding application. The work itself remains central while we also consider context, language and presentation.
What makes this approach different
Amber is an artist, social designer and workshop facilitator. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from AKV St. Joost and a Master’s in Holistic Science from Schumacher College, and has collaborated with TU Delft since 2021. Her background connects careful listening with experience in creative research, participation and complex systems.
A coaching session therefore does not have to stay at the level of analysis. We might map relationships, work with images or movement, compare possible routes, notice what the body already signals or turn a broad intention into a concrete experiment. The method follows the question rather than forcing every person through the same programme.
What happens in a session
We begin with what is present now. You do not need a perfect goal or a complete explanation. Amber will help you make the situation specific: what is happening, what matters, which patterns repeat and what has already been tried.
From there, you explore the question from more than one perspective. You decide what insight is relevant and what action is realistic. A useful next step may be a conversation, a boundary, a small prototype, a new rhythm or time to observe before deciding. Coaching supports your agency; it does not replace therapy, medical care or advice from a regulated professional.
Who comes for coaching?
Amber works with adults who are willing to look honestly at a question and experiment with change. You may identify as an artist, entrepreneur, professional, leader or none of these. What matters is that the issue is meaningful to you and that you are curious about a process that includes thinking, feeling and making.
Rotterdam and online
In-person coaching takes place at Coolhaven 558, 3024 AR Rotterdam. The location is in Rotterdam-West, near the city centre. Online sessions are available when travel or distance makes that a better fit.
Frequently asked questions
Which coaching page should I choose?
If your question spans several parts of your life, begin with life coaching. Choose leadership, creative or art coaching when that specific context is central. You can also describe the situation in a message and ask Amber which starting point fits.
Do I need to prepare?
No formal preparation is required. It can help to note what you would like to understand, decide or change, and to bring any material that makes the situation concrete.
Is coaching the same as therapy?
No. Coaching is oriented toward reflection, choices and action in the present. It is not diagnosis or treatment for a mental-health condition.
Start with the question you have now
You do not need to know the whole route before taking a first step. Tell Amber what is happening and what you hope a conversation could make possible.
